I have just been informed that there is an individual attempting to undo
the recent Fire District Approval.  This person is on the agenda for
tonight's Commissioner's meeting.  I have been told that this is a
friend of Tom Cannon's and a resident of the Lafayette Township, not the
New Albany Township.  However, this person is attempting to undo all
Fire Districts.  A couple of obvious questions are (1)  Where has this
person been for the last several months, and why wait until it is a done
deal to get involved? (2) Why is this person concerned about New Albany
Township, an area in which they don't even reside?  Apparently, there
methodology is to send letters to all of us who signed the initial
petition, asking to un-sign it.  I didn't know this was possible...but I
am told it is.  This person is going to make an attempt to have the
Commissioners overturn their decision.  Therefore, I ask that anyone who
is available tonight at 6:00 P.M. to attend this meeting.  I can assure
you that there is much more going on here.  This person is not looking
out for our best interest.  POLITICS!  I know it is extremely short
notice, I just found out 10 minutes ago.....probably by design.  If any
of you can attend this meeting, to voice your concerns, please do.
