[Honews] Crime Report for Highland Oaks WARNING

I just received a call notifying me of a vehicle theft in our
neighborhood.  My neighbor across the street had their car stolen from
the driveway.  I do not know any details other than that.

Please..please..please..keep watch of what is going on around us.  If
you have a few minutes on a late night coming home, drive through the
entire subdivision and look for suspicious activity.  After the last
association meeting which was attended by the Floyd County Chief of
Police (whom is up for re-election), we are pretty much on our own.  A
neighbor, Alicia Allan, is on the agenda for the County Council Meeting
on September 11, to request more county officers on the street.  She is
also going to put together a petition...PLEASE SIGN IT!  Every
neighborhood in this community is having the same problems.  Cobbler's
Crossing recently saw someone video taping the contents of people's
garage.  Car break-ins have been rampant.  This Community has grown
leaps and bounds without any growth of law enforcement officers on the
street.  Please attend the Council Meeting, call the Council, call the
Sheriff, call anyone who may pay attention.
